A Campaign to Rebuild and Restore the Organ.

Sunday, August 26 began the Keep the Music Flowing: A Campaign to Rebuild and Restore the Organ.  We hope the campaign will be a time of spiritual renewal in addition to funding the new organ.  If you would like more information on the campaign please call the church office 864/366-2367

The photos below show the facade pipes being removed to be restored.  Then the rest of the old organ removed before the new organ in installed.

During the February 17th worship service, District Superintendent Rev. Steve Patterson led the congregation in a pipe organ dedication Litany.
“We dedicate the pipe organ for the worship, honor, praise and glory of God. May this organ encourage our praise and lift our singing. May the music it produces bring our prayers to you in times of joy and times of sorrow.”

The music during the service showcased the many different sounds of the new organ. According to Dennis Kollman, our organist, “the full resources of the organ can be heard. We will be able to hear the bright sparking sound and the clarity even at great speeds.”
