Main Street GOODTIMERS are our Senior Adults - we meet every second Wednesday at 12:00 for lunch.  This is followed by a devotional, a fun time and occasionally a speaker on pertinent topics for the group.  At every meeting we bring our prayer requests and our secretary sends cards accordingly.

We are an ecumenical group - as well as Methodists we have Presbyterians, Baptists, an A.R. P. and Catholics.  Therefore we try to be a support group for the elderly and shut-ins of our community.  We send seasonal and all occasional cards and visit and make phone calls.

Each year we make contributions to Meals on Wheels, Kairos (cookies for the prisoners), UCMAC (canned goods and staple grocery items for the needy), toilet articles for the residents at the Abbeville Nursing Home for Christmas, Angel Tree, etc.

We love traveling together - we take lots of one- day trips, 2 or 3 day trips and sometimes ones lasting a week or more.  These are fun times filled with Christian fellowship and educational opportunities as well - a group having good times together.  The GOODTIMERS were formed 33 years ago and we are still very much a vital part of our Main St. congregation.

Upcoming events - when warm spring weather returns we will possibly be planning a one day trip, maybe to Marietta/Kennesaw or other destinations.
